According To Rep. Green Pres. Trump Needs To Be Impeached To “Deal With Slavery”

By Wayne Dupree | December 8, 2019

On Saturday, Rep. Al Green was interviewed on MSNBC and took the time out to tell host Alex Dewitt that Pres. Donald Trump needed to be impeached “to deal with slavery.”

Did slavery put into motion a strong job market? Or low unemployment for minorities? Or strong wage growth and low inflation?

Slavery ended 151 years before Donald Trump was elected president. What in the world does slavery have to do with his administration? Oh, and by the way, which party historically supported slavery, Jim Crow laws, and massive resistance? Hint: it wasn’t the GOP.

MSNBC host: “So, I know that you introduced one of those first impeachment resolutions against Trump, and let’s look at how that went down. It actually lost 364-58. How do you think this process ends if more evidence is revealed, and are you concerned at all that Americans are having a waning interest as this process drags on?”

Green: “Well, it was yesterday in fact that we celebrated in a sense that we had something that was brought to the floor, maybe I shouldn’t say celebrated. Let me just say that we brought to the floor the articles for a vote and we received some 50-plus votes and then the second time some 60 plus and a third time 95 votes. So, I believe that the American people understand that this is something that we must do at this point. I don’t speak for all of the American people, but a majority seem to think so, and I think that we’re moving forward in a very cautious and prudent way, which is what is expected, but I also think that if we don’t include some of the things that are important to people of color then I think that our business won’t be finished with.”

“I do believe, ma’am, that we have to deal with the original sin. We have to deal with slavery. Slavery was the thing that put all of what President Trump has done lately into motion. It’s insidious … racism, the president has played on racism and he’s used that as a weapon to galvanize a base of support to mobilize people.”

“We cannot overlook what happened when he came down the escalator and just demeaned people of color when he talked about the s-hole countries. He has found a way to use ugly words to his benefit and to the detriment of the people who are the object of his words. Emily Dickinson said a word is dead when it is said, some say, I say, it just begins to live that day. His words take on life and meaning, and they hurt, and I know the people who are being hurt, and I came to Congress to represent them, and I cannot let it go. So, I appreciate whatever we will do, but until we deal with the issue of invidious discrimination as a relates to [the] LGBTQ community, the anti-Semitism, the racism, the Islamophobia, the transphobia, and also the misogyny that he has exemplified, I don’t think our work is done.”

Race hustlers like Green are a fixture of the US economy. Black misery is this guy’s job security. Civil Rights hero Booker T. Washington once said: “I am afraid that there is a certain class of race problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

These Democrats do not know our history or are they trying to learn it. They are ignorant and dumb and remain that way because it is beneficial to their pockets.

I also came across another quote from Hiram Revels, the first African American to serve in the U.S. Congress who said; “The bitterness and hate … would have long since been obliterated in this state, were it not for some unprincipled men who would keep alive the bitterness of the past, and inculcate a hatred between the races, in order that they may aggrandize themselves by office, and its emoluments, to control my people, the effect of which is to degrade them.”

So here we have a racist trying to justify a bogus investigation by throwing up the term “slavery.” Green has no ethics, morals, nor shame because this is such an overt lie that only complete idiots would buy into.

I get tired of individuals like this continually trying to start something out of nothing using racism and slavery. Look in the mirror Rep. Green.

You, yourself, are a racist-judging everyone on their skin color. You belong to the party which supported slavery, opposed freeing slaves, opposed civil rights for blacks, and voting rights for blacks, both in the 1860s and the 1960s, your party is the one that created the KKK, that created the Jim Crow laws, and segregated the Federal government.

Your party under Democratic president Lyndon Baines Johnson, who was an avowed racist, designed and passed the Great Society act, which Johnson said was intended to keep blacks voting Democrat “for the next 200 years.” Your party supports Planned Parenthood, which was founded to get rid of the black population, and which aborts black children at over twice the rate of any other group in the country.

My God, man, listen to yourself.
